GPHL holds 2020 Economic Work Conference.

On January 12th, GPHL held its 2020 Economic Work Conference at Zhongyi Pharmaceutical’s auditorium, in which the group reviewed their work in 2019, analysed current situations, and make arrangements for production and operation in 2020. More than 200 employees, including GPHL chairman Li Chuyuan, and deputy chairman and general manager Yang Jun, attended the meeting. Cui Yanlun, deputy director of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangzhou Municipal Government (SASAC of Guangzhou), participated in the meeting, and addressed a speech.

During the meeting, Yang Jun delivered the GPHL’s Report on Review of the Work in 2019 and Plan for the Work in 2020. In 2020, GPHL will focus on building ‘eight systems’, including the system of developing industries with special advantages, system of high-standard research and innovation, system of modern and smart production, system of capital, asset and fund operations, system of comprehensive reform and development, system of empowerment-style poverty alleviation through developing local industries, system of efficient corporate management, and system of comprehensive party building, and advance toward the goal of being a Fortune 500 company.

GPHL chairman Li Chuyuan mentioned how to achieve objectives in his report: First, to push forward the innovation and reform of mechanism and system, and to transform from an established state-owned enterprise (SOE) into a modern SOE; second, to facilitate the transformation and upgrade of four segments, and to shift the focus from demand side into supply side; third, to improve the arrangements for value-added businesses, and to transform from a domestic player into a global market; fourth, to promote the long-term support for poverty alleviation, and to take a pioneering and leading role in poverty alleviation campaigns; fifth, to make a sustained effort on risk prevention and control, and to transform from loopholes plugging into system improvements.
