Li Chuyuan, GPHL’s Party Chief and President, and representatives from GPHL subsidiaries including Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Wanglaoji Health and Caizhilin visited Maoming, a city in southwest Guangdong, on November 20th.

During the trip, the GPHL delegation attended a seminar with the Maoming government. Li Chuyuan said that GPHL is currently expanding its business, developing four main business arms--pharmaceuticals, healthcare, marketing, and medical treatment and boosting three new business models, that is, e-commerce, capital finance and medical equipment.

Li added that GPHL has been seeking cooperation with different provinces and cities nationwide. “We are looking forward for partnership with Maoming. We could jointly boost development with our different strengths,” he said.

Chen Ke, Party Leadership Group Member of Maoming’s Municipal Government, said Maoming boasts suitable topography and climate for Chinese herb plantations. Located in the southeast of Guangdong, Maoming is close to Guangxi and Hainan, both of which are large potential markets.

GPHL and Gaozhou’s county government signed a cooperative agreement during the seminar. GPHL will set up logistics to cover the delivery of medical supplies in and around Gaozhou. It will also construct a Wanglaoji production base in Gaozhou to produce, process and sell Wang Lao Ji herbal tea. The base will cover the Guangdong West market.

Earlier in August, GPHL and Maoming signed a cooperative framework agreement, aiming for cooperation in medicine distribution, healthcare, Chinese herb processing, community medical services and R&D. In line with the framework agreement, the cooperation between GPHL and Gaozhou is expected to push forward the settlement of more joint projects.

Li Chuyuan said the cooperation could help GPHL expand more into the Guangdong West market while helping Maoming to optimize its medicine distribution system and develop its medical and healthcare businesses.
