GPHL reviews its major achievements in first half of 2018

GPHL held an economic conference in the Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Company on July 16, aiming to review it performance in the first half year of 2018. Li Chuyuan, Chairman of GPHL, gave a speech at the conference and summarized the enterprise’s major achievements during this period.

Honors
1. GPHL ranks first on the list of 2017 China’s Top 100 Pharmaceutical Companies for seven consecutive years.
2. GPHL is awarded as one of the “2017 China’s Top 10 Influential Pharmaceutical Companies”.
3. On the list of Top 500 Innovative Companies in Guangdong, GPHL is the only Guangzhou company among top ten.
4. GPHL’s Baiyunshan is added to MSCI index.
Progresses
Products recognized by both overseas and domestics standards
GPHL received permission to conduct clinical trials with Ceftriamidine Sodium and Ceftriamidine Sodium for Injection, a new drug to treat pneumonia. The drug is the only new class 1.1 cephalosporin drug to have gained this permit over the past two decades.
Meanwhile, Wanglaoji tops herbal tea brands for two consecutive years.
New projects landed through capital operation
GPHL adjusted the equity structure of key companies. It purchased a 30 percent stake of Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals Corporation and now holds an 80 percent stake in the company.
It also enhanced cooperation with other companies. GPHL and Yunnan Hongxiang Yixintang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. co-founded a pharmaceutical investment company, aiming to invest in the pharmaceutical retail industry.
Meanwhile, GPHL set up the Jinshen Equity Fund Management Corporation to leverage social capitals and spread the investment risks.
R&D ability improved
GPHL established 3 new provincial-level technology centers, and won three Guangdong Province Science & Technology Awards.
Company social responsibility
GPHL and AliHealth co-founded China’s first national coalition to reclaim expired medicine.
In addition, GPHL contributed to the poverty relief through helping poor villages to develop local industries. Thus far, it has helped more than 80 percent of the population out of poverty in three villages.
Li Chuyuan encouraged the Group to tackle challenges, take the corporate responsibility and ensure high-quality development. “We have to inject the innovative, high-tech and cultural elements into our products and business operation, and fasten our paces to integrate resources, operate industrial investment and settle more projects” he said.
