Government officials from Gansu visited GPHL on June 12th, aiming to further discussion on the projects signed with the Guangdong-based pharmaceutical conglomerate.

The cooperation between GPHL and Gansu started from an MoU signed during the Gansu roadshow held in Guangzhou on April 24th this year. GPHL and its subsidiary, Cai Zhilin, will work with Gansu’s provincial government, the Gansu Food and Drug Administration and Longxi municipal government. It will make use of its advantages and resources in terms of R&D and talent, and help develop the medical industry in Gansu.

Li Chuyuan, Party Chief and Chairman of GPHL, and senior members of GPHL staff met with the Gansu delegation and held a partnering meeting on their ongoing projects.

“GPHL attaches great importance to the partnership with Gansu we cemented in April,” said Li Chuyuan, “we sent a delegation to 6 cities across the province from May 14th to 17th, to learn about their intentions. We have already formed a team specially for the Gansu project to push forward progress.”

Gan Peishang, Inspector of the Gansu Health and Family Planning Commission, introduced Gansu’s traditional Chinese medicine industry during the meeting, and said, “GPHL is a leading enterprise in the industry nationwide, and the projects will drive local development and benefit both sides.”

According to GPHL, its annual revenue has exceeded one hundred billion yuan, giving it the scope to help develop Gansu’s medical industry and improve its ability to feed the latest market demands, its technology application and culture.

Furthermore, the Gansu delegation suggested that GPHL and the province could seek more common ground for cooperation, and invited GPHL to participate in key events, such as, the Lanzhou Investment &Trade Fair and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Industrial Expo.

Staff from GPHL’s subsidiaries including Caizhilin, Wanglaoji and GP Corp then briefed members of the Gansu delegation about their preliminary plans on the implementation of the projects.

After the meeting, GPHL’s team organized another meeting with the managers of related departments based on the discussion, and took part in a fact-finding field trip.
