1. Building a TCM education platform for promoting TCM knowledge in education institutions and launching annual campaigns to reclaim expired drugs. Over the past 17 years, GPHL has contributed to enhancing awareness of the risks of expired medicine, and, in total, collected more than 1,500 tonnes of drugs.

2. Promoting research-based innovations. Its 10 national research institutions have been accelerating evidence-based TCM research and the findings will undergo industrialization in Macao.

3. Promoting product innovations. The Group helped Guizhou province in a poverty alleviation campaign and developed a variety of healthy products, such as Ciningji soft drink and Ciningji sparkling wine.

4. Promoting innovative cross-industry cooperation. For example, GPHL has worked with EXCEPTION de MIXMIND and Fangsuo to design products with TCM elements, such as apparel, pillows and eye masks. GPHL and Quaker Oats jointly launched healthy instant oatmeal products with special Chinese ingredients. Together with Guangzhou Automobile Group, it also developed TCM-based car perfume.

5. Promoting business model innovations. GPHL established the new ‘Internet + healthcare’ channel by providing a face mask appointment service on Suikang mini-program. So far 400 million face masks have been sold through Suikang. In addition, new products are sold in new ways, such as via live streaming.

6. Promoting ‘go global’ innovations. It has developed partnerships with, and access to, Fortune 500 companies by taking part in international conferences, such as the World Economic Forum and Boao Forum and Fortune Global Forum. It contributed to the development of the Greater Bay Area by entering into strategic cooperation agreements with the University of Hong Kong, the University of Macau and GMTCM Park and establishing the group’s international HQ, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group (Macau) International Development Co. in Macao.

During the conference, Ciningji products and Baiyuanshan mineral water were displayed on site. In particular, Ciningji impressed attendees with its fashionable design and sweet-and-sour yet refreshing taste.
