Current Shennong Caotang Museum Phase II. In 2006, the site was covered with little vegetation.In 2019, plants are luxuriantly green.
On November 30th, 2006, Shennong Caotang Museum (SCM) was open.
In 2007, the first tour group of CGZL Health Tourism visited Shennong Caotang Museum.
In 2008, Shennong Caotang Museum treated travellers affected by blizzards to a dinner on Chinese New Year's Eve.
On the National Day of 2008, a female visitor who participated the Family Tour in Shennong Caotang Museum wrote down the properties, characteristics and benefits of each herb in the museum.
During the national holiday in 2008, Xinwen Lianbo (CCTV News) reported the news about tourists visiting Shennong Caotang Museum.
On September 24th, 2009, Shennong Caotang Museum Phase II, Lingnan Herb Garden, broke ground.
In 2010, Li Chuyuan, director of Administration Committee of Shennong Caotang Museum, began his Asian Games torch relay at the museum.
On November 11th, 2011, Shennong Caotang Museum Phase II, Lingnan Herb Garden, was open.
In 2012, it was the first time that the museum was visited by a Nobel laureate – Ferid Murrad, a co-winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
On December 3rd, 2013, Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Museum was established inside the museum.
In 2014, Shennong Caotang Museum was awarded the title of Outstanding National Science Education Base.
On December 9th, 2015, Artemisinin Exhibition Hall was completed, making it the first of its kind in the world.
On November 7th, 2018, the statue of Tu Youyou, winner of Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, was inaugurated at Baopu Garden of Shennong Caotang Museum.
In 2017, 2017 Global Forum attendees visited the museum.
In 2018, Shennong Caotang Museum became an organizer for ‘Introducing TCM Culture in Schools’ campaign designated by Guangzhou Education Bureau.
In May 2019, Shennong Caotang Museum and University of Auckland co-established the first overseas Shennong Caotang TCM Culture Communication Centre.
On February 6th, 2019, Shennong Caotang Museum received over 100 foreign tourists.
