GPHL’s news in brief over the mid-to-late August

In early August, GPHL’s Shennong Caotang TCM Culture Service was inscribed on the 2019-2020 Catalogue of National Key Projects of Cultural Exports. The Catalogue was jointly approved by the Ministry of Commerce, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the National Radio and Television Administration. This year, a total of 129 projects made it onto the list, including three from Guangdong.

On August 15th, GPHL’s Chairman Li Chuyuan led a delegation to visit the public transport department of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau. The group donated 800,000 RMB worth of beverages and drugs to the department, including Wanglaoji herbal tea, Ci Ning Ji mixed juice, Qing Kai Ling oral solution, and Dieda Zhentong cream.

On August 17th, GPHL’s Chairman Li Chuyuan and the Chairman of GPHL’s Labor Union Li Jinyun visited Songyuan, a town in Meizhou, to investigate the Group’s poverty-relief work. Since May 2016, GPHL has been helping the local people in three villages in Songyuan, Meizhou to solve their difficulties, fulfilling GPHL’s mission of targeted poverty alleviation and carrying forward the corporate spirit of “Love for the World”.

On August 20th, a book featuring GPHL’s capital operation was launched in Guangzhou during the 2019 South China Book Festival. The book, published by Nanfang Daily Press, unveils the logic and stories behind GPHL’s capital operation during its development.

On August 22nd, GPHL’s Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings Co., Ltd. released its financial report for the first half of 2019. According to the report, Baiyunshan’s revenue is RMB 33.34 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 124.67%; its profit is RMB 3.212 billion, up 6.66%, including net profit RMB 2.205 billion, an increase of 43.10%.


On August 23rd, GPHL began the construction of the Gansu-GPHL TCM Sci-Tech Industrial Park in Longxi, a county in northwestern China's Gansu Province. About 480 people from both GPHL and Gansu attended the groundbreaking ceremony. The park will be built into a comprehensive center for TCM manufacturing, research and development, logistics as well as standard setting.

From August 23rd to 26th, GPHL’s roxburgh rose products were exhibited at the 6th Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo 2019 (MSRE) and the 27th Guangzhou Fair 2019 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. GPHL set up a booth to display its roxburgh rose products. People from home and abroad came to inquire about these products which were well received among the visitors.
