GPHL, whose headquarters are located in the cradle of China’s revolutionary birthplace, has been a staunch supporter of the Communist Party of China (CPC). It has produced a galaxy of revolutionaries, such as Yang Yin, a leader of the CPC in the early days, Li Langru, Captain of Guards for Sun Yat-sen, and Xiang Xiuli, one of the 100 role models who have made great contributions to China since its founding with heroic deeds. Also, Wanglaoji Herbal Tea cured Lin Zexu and Mao Zedong of their diseases, making it a household name in China.
GPHL and some branches of the China Maritime Police Bureau in South China jointly organized the "2018 National Martyrs Memorial Day". On Women's Day in 2019, a volunteer service team of GPHL’s Baiyunshan He Ji Gong Pharmaceutical Factory celebrated the day with a military family in Tianhe, Guangzhou. On July 30, 2019, GPHL’s Chairman Li Chuyua and Xian Jiaxiong, deputy secretary of GPHL’s Party Committee, visited the retired military cadres in Guangzhou, and donated Wanglaoji Herbal Tea, rice, oil and other presents to thank them for their contributions to the motherland.
GPHL not only cares about the life of retired military cadres, but also pays attention to the employment of retired soldiers. Early this year, Li Chuyuan attended a jobs fair for retired soldiers in Guangzhou. In recent years, GPHL and its subsidiaries have recruited more than 400 veterans. So far, GPHL has hired 1,294 retired soldiers, 764 of whom are now working in the company.
