Li Chuyuan said traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine while different, are not contradictory, and that each can supplement the other. In his opinion the healthcare industry should devote equal attention to both TCM and western medicine.

Li explained that TCM with its idea of medicine and food as inseparable is vital for the preventive treatment of diseases, and that this can be China’s great contribution to world health. Li hopes enterprises from the Tripartite Economic Alliance can work together to contribute more to the global health industry.
