GPHL’s deputy party chief of the party committee Xian Jiaxiong and the firm’s deputy general manager Wu Changhai attended the 2019 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conferences in Boao, south China's Hainan Province, from March 26 to 29, 2019.
The two representatives from GPHL took part in the opening plenary of the conference and listened to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s keynote speech.
During the forum, Guangzhou held a roadshow to publicise its city image. 11 representatives working in the fields of sci-tech, education, medicine and culture from Guangzhou told their ‘Guangzhou stories’ to attendees.
GPHL’s Wanglaoji herbal tea and Wanglaoji roxburgh rose juice were displayed at the roadshow.
Last November, GPHL began work on the roxburgh rose lozenge project in Bijie, a city in Guizhou province, in attempt to help the city get itself out of poverty. On February 21st this year, the first batch of Wanglaoji roxburgh rose lozenges were produced. The whole process only took 98 days, a record for GPHL in terms of providing support to poverty-stricken areas.
Over the past years, GPHL has been promoting the idea of ‘Trendy TCM’, which aims to provide products targeting young people, using advanced manufacturing technology and accessible marketing methods. Taking advantage of intermodal platforms like WEF, BFA and Fortune Global Forum, GPHL will go on with its exploration into ‘Trendy TCM’, facilitate the development of TCM and promote TCM culture worldwide.
Wanglaoji, a 190-year-old herbal tea brand, set up its first overseas museum on Grand Street, Manhattan on November 18th. The Wanglaoji museum displays a series of old photos, equipment and Chinese herbs, aiming promote TCM to an overseas audience.
During the opening ceremony of the museum, GPHL also announced the launch of the global roadshow for Jin Ge (commonly known as the Chinese Viagra). As the first stop of the roadshow, the Wang Lao Ji New York Museum had both a documentary and photo-based exhibition, giving a thorough introduction to the brand.
