GPHL breaks ground on medicine logistics project in Baiyun District

GPHL began the construction of the first phase of its medicine logistics project in Zhongluotan Town, Baiyun District, Guangzhou on March 12th, 2019. A total of about 200 people attended the construction event, including GPHL’s chairman Li Chuyuan and Nobel Laureate Randy Schekman.

GPHL’s logistics project in Baiyun is designed to be a highly automated, intelligentized, environment friendly medicine logistics center. It will be able to deliver medicine provincewide within four hours, handle 220,000 orders daily and 24 million boxes of drugs each year.

It will also achieve greater energy efficiency and conservation in buildings, water supply and drainage, heating ventilation and air conditioning, saving additional 5%-10% energy compared to normal buildings.

Schekman, the newly appointed chief scientist of GPHL, was amazed by the project and sent his congratulations to GPHL. He said that the development of TCM industry will inject new vitality to the blossom of pharmaceutical industry worldwide.
