The fair is a major event on the city’s festival calendar, and from February 19th to 25th GPHL displayed its breakthrough products, narrated stories of TCM culture, and put on attention grabbing performances at its booth.

The following GPHL subsidiaries participated in the fair: Wanglaoji, Xingqun, Guanghua, Chenliji, Hanfang, Zhongyi, Qixing, Mingxing, Hehuang, Jingxiutang, Pangaoshou and Hejigong.

GPHL was represented at the folk culture parade, by the mascots of Shennong Caotang, Wanglaoji, and Xingqun, and staff wearing Chinese traditional costume and carrying gourds. Gourd represents vitality, health, longevity, fertility and happiness. GPHL itself exemplifies this kind of longevity, being an enterprise with a history of over 400 years, and with ten ‘time-honoured’ brands that are over 100 years old.

The skin of GPHL Gourd, stuffed with GPHL’s famous and high-quality products, was carefully carved with GPHL’s logo, enterprise concept, the 12 China time-honored brands implying longevity, and Shennong and a Bagua implying good fortune and health.

A certificate is presented to GPHL by the organizing committee of the temple fair, commending its contribution to the fair.

At present, GPHL is dedicated to digging deeper into gourd culture, using Shennong Caotang Museum as a resource for developing medicinal, cultural and creative products using gourds in order to reduce medical costs and improve public health.
