On February 3rd, the event of “Enjoy a Happy Journey in the Flower City - Guangzhou” officially kicked off at Dong Fang Hotel in Guangzhou. Tourists from 20 cities of 16 countries around the world were invited to enjoy a five-day Spring Festival holiday in the Flower City, visiting the flower fairs, tasting local delicacies, and experiencing the special Lingnan customs in the strong New Year atmosphere.

Established in 2006, Shennong Caotang Museum is the first semi-enclosed garden-style TCM museum to combine nature and history in order to comprehensively showcase TCM culture, Lingnan medicine, TCM health preservation, homology culture of medicine and food, plantation of medicinal plants and TCM’s cultural significance.

The museum, a garden-style building group, contains halls, gardens, mansions and pavilions. It subtly combines an explanation of TCM history and culture with an attractive plantation of Chinese herbs.

Before departure, tourists left their New Year greetings on the message board and took a ‘GPHL Gourd’ away with them, the implied meaning of the gourd is longevity, health and happiness.
