Guangdong's GDP is estimated to exceed 10 trillion yuan this year, announced Ma Xingrui, the Governnor of Guangdong when delivering 2019 government work report in the province’s annual legislative session on January 28th.

During his work report, Ma indicated that Guangdong’s GDP reached 9.73 trillion yuan, and the total volume of import and export trade hit 7.16 trillion yuan, up 5.1%.

According to the authorities, the legislative session will last 4 days, ending on January 31st. Representatives will discuss the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, sci-tech innovation and poverty alleviation..
