Chen Ping, Deputy Party Chief and Mayor of Heze in Shandong, visited the Shennong Herbal Garden on October 13th accompanied by representatives from both the municipal government and local enterprises. Li Chuyuan, Chairman of GPHL, met with the delegation and held a seminar on potential cooperation.

Li Chuyuan gives an introduction on the traditional Chinese medicine culture in the Lingnan region and explains the different curative effects of the herbs planted in the Shennong Herbal Garden.

During the seminar, Chen Ping expressed his appreciation for GPHL’s achievements in cultural protection and promotion and suggested that GPHL and Heze could seek chances to form a long-term cooperative relationship. “In the future Heze will be a transportation hub in Shandong, and it also grows a wide range of Chinese herbs,” he said.

Li Chuyuan said he feels attached to Shandong because he used to be a deputy director of the sales department for the province. At that time, he went through cities and towns, which gave him a profound appreciation of Shandong and its culture.
