The 24th Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair was held in Lanzhou on July 5th, and attracted representatives from 42 countries along the Belt and Road as well as various international organizations.

The event was also attended by government officials from Guangdong and Gansu including Li Rongcan, Standing Committee of CPC Gansu Committee and Lanzhou Party Secretary, Ouyang Weimin, Vice Governor of Guangdong, and Zhang Shizhen, Vice Governor of Gansu.

Li Chuyuan, Chairman of GPHL, participated in the event with the GPHL delegation accompanied by Wang Yingling, Deputy Director-General of the Commerce Department of Gansu Province.

After the ceremony, government officials visited Wanglaoji’s booth at the exhibition hall of the fair.

During the partnering meeting held by the Guangdong and Gansu governments, Li Chuyuan gave a speech and reviewed the cooperation between GPHL and Gansu, saying GPHL’s business is highly complementary to the industries in Gansu.

“Gansu plants about 3,000-square-kilometer medicinal materials every year and its annual output tops the country with more than 1.1 million tons,” said Li, “meanwhile, GPHL is the biggest manufacturer of Chinese patent drug with more than 100 million yuan sales revenue. It has been ranked as the top pharmaceutical enterprise for seven years in a row.”

This year’s Lanzhou Investment & Trade Fair was held by China’s Ministry of Commerce, State Administration for Market Regulation, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council PRC, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Gansu government. It aimed to offer a platform to shed lights into green development and the convergence of special industries in the Lanzhou region.
