Li Hong, GPHL's deputy chairman, said that Macao has laid a good foundation for the development of TCM and its TCM research stands at the forefront in the country, but the SAR lacks experience in industrial manufacturing and industrialization. Therefore, the Group hopes to produce more TCM products in Macao and train talent in this field to attract more pharmaceutical investors to the Region.

"There are so many high-quality pharmaceutical and healthcare products from Portuguese-speaking countries that Macao can serve as a hub for introducing them to the local and Chinese mainland markets," Li said.

According to Wu Chuanyuan, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Lusophone Markets Business Association, the Association always has a profound understanding of the economy, politics and society of the Portuguese-speaking countries. Together with GPHL's high-quality products, Wu believes that China's TCM products, clinical equipment, health care products and herbal teas can gradually enter the wider markets of Portuguese-speaking countries.
