Ruili city of southwest China's Yunnan Province is sparing no effort to control the spread of the novel coronavirus after new cluster infections were reported in late March.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been integrated into the treatment of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ruili.

More than 30 doctors from the hospital are tasked with making Chinese medicine. They are working 16 hours a day in two shifts to meet the needs.

Ruili has concluded its second round of city-wide nucleic acid testing, with 18 samples testing positive for COVID-19, the local government said Friday.
