The Spring Festival is around the corner, and population mobility in China will largely increase. In order to better prevent and control COVID-19 spread, many cities in Guangdong have recently announced new policies.

People coming back to Zhuhai from high or medium risk regions in recent 14 days should present a negative nucleic acid test result conducted within three days of departure. After arriving in Zhuhai, 14-day medical observation at home is needed. Moreover, people returning from high risk regions need to take 14-day quarantine in designated venues, and take nucleic acid tests on the 1st and 14th day after entering Zhuhai.

In addition, all communities should implement the following measures for everyone coming back from high or medium risk regions to prevent and control Covid-19:

1. hand out a letter of health notice;

2. conduct a health condition enquiry;

3. check the Health code;

4. conduct a Covid-19 nucleic acid test on the arrival day.

For those returning from low-risk areas in China in the past 14 days: They should observe their health condition for 14 days, take personal protective measures, maintain a social distance of 1 meter, avoid going to closed and crowded places, and do not participate in gathering activities.

The authority also advises the public to wear masks and retain social distancing. If fever or other related symptoms occur, people should avoid taking public transportation, and seek medical help as soon as possible.
