On November 21st, the 24th National Exhibition of Inventions - Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition held the closing and award ceremony in Foshan, Guangdong. The event was hosted by China Association of Inventions (CAI), BRICS Business Council, Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Guangdong Association for Science and Technology with the Foshan Municipal People's Government as the organizer.

Meanwhile, CAI also held a ceremony for the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award · Innovation Awards. The project of Guangzhou Hanfang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Hanfang), entitled “Application and Industrialization of New Technology Mainly based on Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction in development of Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Oil Products”, received the First Award (Gold Award) for the Invention and Innovation Award.

GPHL’s deputy general manager and general engineer Liu Juyan, Hanfang chairman and general manager Yuan Cheng and project representatives attended the award ceremony and received CAI’s recognition.

The China Association of Inventions was a national, non-profit and social organization established in Beijing in 1985. It set up the Invention and Innovation Award in order to encourage innovation and creation as well as technical innovations.

The supercritical carbon dioxide extraction is an advantageous technology used by GPHL’s National Engineering Research Center for Chinese Herbal Medicines Extraction and Isolation. The center has studied this technology and relevant equipment for more than 30 years, which makes GPHL a national leader in this field with many positive findings.
