The third China International Import Expo (‘CIIE’) was held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th, in which GPHL’s flagship products were displayed at the Xinhua News Agency’s national brand campaign pavilion, showing profound culture of traditional Chinese medicine (‘TCM’) and revitalization of established brands.

GPHL used a semi-open booth with red, white and brown decorations. There were many famous TCM products, such as Banlangen Granules, Qingkailing Oral Liquid, Fritilolary and Loquat Extract Cough Syrup, Anshen Bunao Tonic Oral Liquid and Fufangdanshen Tablets, on display, demonstrating unique features of TCM at CIIE, an international platform.

As China's largest Chinese patent medicine manufacturer, GPHL owns 12 time-honoured brands, 10 out of which have had a history of over 100 years. In recent years, GPHL has been committed to making established brands appeal to younger consumers so as to propose the idea of ‘Trendy TCM’. It tries to revitalize its time-honored brands through various efforts, such as brand, research, product and business model innovations.

“In the future, we will incorporate TCMs into the plans for China’s national medical centres and regional medicals. During the 14th Five-year Plan, our country’s TCM sector will see fast and rapid-growing golden times,” Mao Qun’an, director of Planning Dept., National Health Commission, said. With a variety of time-honored TCM brands, GPHL will stick to traditional TCM techniques, revitalize its TCM products in the new era, and bring TCM products to the global market.
