Recently Guangdong Federation of Trade Unions (GDFTU) pilots donated cool beverages to pilots, flight attendants, aviation security and other airline workers in the Southern Airlines’ building of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. On site GPHL’s subsidiary Wanglaoji donated Ciningji, a fruit drink rich in Vitamin C, to  workers who work in these hot conditions.

The event forms part of GDFTU’s ‘Giving Refreshing Drinks and Caring for Employees’ campaign. Since July 1st GDFTU has joined hands with GPHL and other enterprises to donate cool and refreshing beverages, such as Ciningji, to workers. The campaign covered Guangzhou, Foshan and Dongguan. Donation activities have been held at the Care Station for Outdoor Workers inside the Zhujiang Park, construction site of Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station complex, construction site of the second highway connecting to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Gaoming Port of Foshan, SF Express Yuexiu headquarters, Guangdong Model Sanatorium, etc.

Since the start of the campaign 3,000 boxes of Ciningji worth of over 200,000 RMB have been given to outdoors workers, such as deliverymen, construction workers and street sweepers.

Since 2001, Wanglaoji has donated Wanglaoji herbal tea to help prevent heat-related illnesses in hundreds of thousands of outdoor workers.
